I make intimate representational oil paintings of people meaningful to me in their environments. Harnessing light, pattern, color, and surface texture, I compose introspective moments. These reveal a vulnerable side of the human experience that is only unveiled when people are not performing or fulfilling societal roles.

A portrait of a girl from the waist up with big headphones on. She is looking past the viewer into space. The style of the paint strokes is chunky, making the image feel muffled and blurry, much like how it feels to wear headphones.
