The theme of this story is how a person can finally realize the true world around them. It begins with the owner lady drawing multiple blueprints to make her home grow and grow until she dies from it. She never thinks of going outside to explore the world and is always cooped up in her office, struggling to realize what is actually around her as she ignores all life. As time goes by, even after death as a spirit, the lady cannot go into heaven because she feels like she is missing a part of her house. She wants to continue making her home bigger. So, she has other lost spirits come to live in the house to work for her and as a place of rest. In the end, she finally looks up from her desk. hearing music playing in the background. She goes out of her office room, leaving her last blueprint finished. She sees guests having fun and then joins in.
